Link of the Day – Free Texas Legal research

There is some controversy whether this is a step forward or backward, but the State Bar of Texas has changed its free legal research provider. To quote from a State Bar message:

The State Bar of Texas is proud to announce that its new, improved legal research engine, Casemaker, is available on TexasBar.com (MyBarPage) and TexasBarCLE.com. Casemaker represents a significant enhancement to and expansion of our free research offerings. You now have access to 75 years of Texas cases; Texas rules, statutes, session laws; and Fifth Circuit cases dating to 1995.

This expanded legal research engine is one component of the new technology initiatives undertaken by the State Bar over the past two years to help you in your law practice.

About This Blog

The title of this blog reflects my attitude toward those government agencies and insurance companies that routinely mistreat injured or disabled people. As a Dallas, Texas lawyer, I've spent more than 45 years trying to help those poor folk, and I have been frustrated daily by the actions of the people on the other side of their claims. (Sorry if I offended you...)
