According to an article on Yahoo, the Social Security Administration is putting on a series of events to help disable persons find jobs. Excerpt:

BILOXI, Miss., Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ — Social Security Associate Commissioner Sue Suter joined Social Security District Manager for the Gulfport, Mississippi District Steven Helms, Biloxi Mayor A.J. Holloway and representatives from the offices of Governor Haley Barbour ®, U.S. Senator Trent Lott (R-MS), U.S. Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS), and U.S. Congressman Gene Taylor (D-MS 4th) to host the ninth in a series of 10 nationwide employment Conferences and Expos designed to link beneficiaries with disabilities to organizations and programs that can help them navigate the employment process. A component of the Ticket to Work program, the Conference and Expos are educational employment career events from Social Security specifically created for individuals with disabilities.

About This Blog

The title of this blog reflects my attitude toward those government agencies and insurance companies that routinely mistreat injured or disabled people. As a Dallas, Texas lawyer, I've spent more than 45 years trying to help those poor folk, and I have been frustrated daily by the actions of the people on the other side of their claims. (Sorry if I offended you...)
