As reported by the New Jersey Star-Ledger, Merck has decided to replace the company’s lead trial lawyer for the second New Jersey Vioxx trial. The original lead attorney Diane Sullivan continually aggravated the judge in the first trial. She will be replaced by Christy Jones of Butler Snow in Mississippi.
Merck apparently believes a new lead attorney will have a less argumentative, and more successful, courtroom demeanor.
