I wish I was as creative as Alex Tew when it comes to marketing ideas. Mr. Tew is the creator of the MillionDollarHomepage. He started with a blank Web page, containing 1,000,000 pixels. Then he sold each pixel for $1.00 (actually blocks of 100 for $100). He has just completed the sale of the last 1000 pixels, auctioned on eBay for $38,100.
Each little block of pixels contains a logo or ad, and clicking on those pixels takes you to the sponsor’s Web site. It’s a fun site to explore, and has made a millionaire out of a guy who started with nothing but a blank Web page and a fantastic marketing idea.
