Link of the Day – Environmental Crimes Blog

For the month of September, I am going to use my Link of the Day feature to highlight legal blogs that I think are interesting and useful. Some may not be directly related to personal injury or Social Security disability law, but all of us who represent injured and disabled people occasionally need help in other areas. Some are new, and some have been mentioned here before. Today’s entry is:

Walter James’ new Environmental Crimes Blog promises to explore, on different levels, environmental crimes — how they are investigated, charged, tried and appealed. What is the criminal mens rea and how it evolved.  What is the responsible corporate officer doctrine; the open fields doctrine? How do you prepare for the environmental criminal inspection and the service of a search warrant? What goes on in an environmental criminal investigation? If you want to know, he will tell you . . .!

Walt is a friend of mine, and he’s very friendly and outgoing. He’s not at all the personality type I would imagine would be interested in such an esoteric practice area. But he’s all business when it comes to his job, and he’s one of the very best in this field.

About This Blog

The title of this blog reflects my attitude toward those government agencies and insurance companies that routinely mistreat injured or disabled people. As a Dallas, Texas lawyer, I've spent more than 45 years trying to help those poor folk, and I have been frustrated daily by the actions of the people on the other side of their claims. (Sorry if I offended you...)
