I’ve posted before about the importance of Internet mapping programs, especially those with satellite views, to personal injury lawyers. They allow us to get a quick view of the scene of a car wreck or other type incident. I’ve also mentioned the mapping sites that have street views, and how helpful they can be to allow us to get a “feel” for the scene. Well, now the Big Fish in the pond has developed a Street View module.
Google Maps has street views available in certain, limited, locales. Follow this link for a great demo of Google Street view.
One rather disturbing feature of Google Street View is the clarity of the photos. You can actually see faces and read license plates. People have already found examples of a man outside a strip club, and another outside an adult book store. So if you see someone using a fancy 360 degree camera, hide your face!
