Link of the Day – Alternatives To Wikipedia

I made this post last year:

The logo of Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia open to anyone to add to or edit, is a globe. That’s appropriate, because Wikipedia seems to be taking over the world of Internet research. It’s the first stop for many Web surfers looking for a quick explanation of a topic.

But Wikipedia hasn’t completely taken over Internet research. There are several alternatives. Among them:

  • Citizendium.com is similar to Wikipedia, but does not allow contributors to remain anonymous.
  • Scholarpedia.com accepts entries only from scholars in their field. There are not many entries so far.
  • Conservapedia.com is just what the name implies — a Wikipedia for the right-wing.

About This Blog

The title of this blog reflects my attitude toward those government agencies and insurance companies that routinely mistreat injured or disabled people. As a Dallas, Texas lawyer, I've spent more than 45 years trying to help those poor folk, and I have been frustrated daily by the actions of the people on the other side of their claims. (Sorry if I offended you...)
