Link of the Day – Friday Fun

Today’s Friday Fun isn’t a game, but a slick little site where you can get “free” books. Called PaperbackSwap, the site is a little bit like Netflix, except that members mail books to each other, and there’s no fee (other than postage).

You join for free and list nine books that you own and are willing to give up in exchange for other books. Then you search the site, find a book you want to read, and e-mail the person who currently owns that book. That person mails the book to you at their expense. When someone wants one of the books you’ve listed, you mail the book to him or her, at your expense.

Since it costs only a couple of dollars to mail a book, this is cheaper than buying the books yourself, plus you end up with other books that you can read and then offer for exchange. Check it out.

About This Blog

The title of this blog reflects my attitude toward those government agencies and insurance companies that routinely mistreat injured or disabled people. As a Dallas, Texas lawyer, I've spent more than 45 years trying to help those poor folk, and I have been frustrated daily by the actions of the people on the other side of their claims. (Sorry if I offended you...)
