RoadTrucker.com has a handy map you can click to be taken the the Department of Transportation of any state. The site is also working to find a way to include national traffic and road hazard information. Here is their explanation:
State DOTs have an enormous amount of information for Truckers and travelers in general. We are looking at trying to bring Road Hazards and Work slow down information to RoadTrucker visitors. However, the logistics don’t seem to be in place in a consistent manner yet. All State DOTs do not all handle this information in the same way and trying to do this in a way that would be useful would create a maintenance nightmare. It is information that is not easily displayed since many highways go through several states. As the State DOTs improve the way they handle this useful data, we will try to add a second US map to link to those Road Maintenance pages so you can avoid that particular highway if possible.
