“Shocking” Report About Heart Attacks

The New England Journal of Medicine has published a study showing that the survival rate for people who suffer heart attacks is actually greater if the attack is suffered in an airport or in a casino rather than in a hospital.

The difference is the response time for the heart attack victim to receive an electric shock from a defibrillator. For some reason that treatment takes longer in a hospital than in some other public places.

Furthermore, the survival rate is better in large hospitals than in small hospitals. Bottom line, choose your location before you have a heart attack!

About This Blog

The title of this blog reflects my attitude toward those government agencies and insurance companies that routinely mistreat injured or disabled people. As a Dallas, Texas lawyer, I've spent more than 45 years trying to help those poor folk, and I have been frustrated daily by the actions of the people on the other side of their claims. (Sorry if I offended you...)
