Insurance Institute for Highway Safety to Require Dramatic Increase in Vehicle Roof Strength

The Detroit News (2/5, Shepardson) reports, “The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety said Wednesday it will require automakers to dramatically increase the strength of vehicle roofs to receive its top safety pick ratings.” Adrian Lund, president of IIHS said, “We see significant safety benefits in stronger vehicle roofs” adding that “NTSA has ‘clearly undercounted’ the number of injuries and deaths that can be prevented by stronger roofs.”

About This Blog

The title of this blog reflects my attitude toward those government agencies and insurance companies that routinely mistreat injured or disabled people. As a Dallas, Texas lawyer, I've spent more than 45 years trying to help those poor folk, and I have been frustrated daily by the actions of the people on the other side of their claims. (Sorry if I offended you...)
