I worked my way through college and law school at the Waco Tribune-Herald, and it saddens me to see the current loss of readership at newspapers around the country. I hope newspapers can find a business model that allows them to survive. That would almost certainly include some form of online information, so I was interested to see this list of the 50 Most Popular Newspaper Blogs.
Please do what you can to support your local newspapers. You may not realize it now, but you will certainly miss them when they’re gone. A huge percentage of the online content you read originates from newspapers, and is simply recycled onto Web sites and blogs. Once the newspapers disappear, so will a lot of that online content.
