Dallas Trial Lawyer Indicted For Stealing From Clients

A Dallas personal injury trial lawyer has been indicted on four counts of stealing money from client settlements and for stealing identities in order to take out loans.

I don’t think I’ve ever met the lawyer accused of these crimes, and I sincerely hope the lawyer is not guilty of these allegations. Trial lawyers have enough problems with our reputations. We don’t need actual criminals in our ranks.

For any young lawyers reading this, NO ethical violation is worth the potential problems it might bring you. Surely you know not to commit crimes, but how up-to-date are you with the code of ethics? If you have any doubts, go now to The Texas Center for Legal Ethics and start reading. While you’re there, become a member and contribute some money to this worthwhile organization.

About This Blog

The title of this blog reflects my attitude toward those government agencies and insurance companies that routinely mistreat injured or disabled people. As a Dallas, Texas lawyer, I've spent more than 45 years trying to help those poor folk, and I have been frustrated daily by the actions of the people on the other side of their claims. (Sorry if I offended you...)
