Most of us get really lazy when it comes to managing our computer passwords. We either use common ones such as 1234 or abcd, or we use a normal word that we can remember. Coming up with passwords strong enough to withstand a hacker but easy enough to remember is tough to do.
I won’t give you any tips here about creating passwords, but there’s a great free spot to test the strength of your passwords. It’s from Steve Gibson, who has done wonderful things in the field of computer security for many years, so it will be completely safe to use. You’ll find it at Password Haystack. The instructions are very clear, and the results may surprise you. Have fun!
