Allstate Recommends Animal Liability Coverage, Though Pitbulls Don’t Qualify

KGPE-TV Fresno, CA reports that an attack on a middle-aged woman by a pair of pitbulls in Downtown Fresno is likely to lead a civil lawsuit, according to a legal analyst. The report cites Fresno Allstate insurance agent Rene Uribe, who recommends that pet owners purchase animal liability coverage “just in case there is an animal attack.” But Uribe noted that certain breeds, such as pitbulls, do not qualify for the insurance. “There are some animals that are actually excluded. We don’t cover them because they’re vicious and they can cause damages,” Uribe said.

From the news release of the American Association for Justice.

About This Blog

The title of this blog reflects my attitude toward those government agencies and insurance companies that routinely mistreat injured or disabled people. As a Dallas, Texas lawyer, I've spent more than 45 years trying to help those poor folk, and I have been frustrated daily by the actions of the people on the other side of their claims.
