The AP reports the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened up two investigations of Ford Motor vehicles totaling approximately 643,000 vehicles.
Reuters reports NHTSA is opening an investigation of 380,000 Ford Edge SUVs “after receiving 1,560 reports of ‘door ajar’ lights,” where owners expressed concerns about whether “vehicle doors are properly latched.” The second investigation covers 262,000 Ford Fusion cars for power steering issues. This investigation was opened after NHTSA received “547 complaints about power steering included sudden failures of the system and were linked to 12 crashes and four injuries.”
