Overdrive Magazine reports that data from the Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics reveals that about one out of every six Americans who die on the job is a truck driver, with most of the deaths occurring due to crashes. The article says that statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration show that the “recent-year truck-occupant fatality numbers have generally been on a downward trend,” indicating that the “increases of fatalities the DOL’s post notes, by that logic, must be coming from somewhere other than crashes.”
