One of my excuses for being bad at geography is that globes confuse me. The countries are so exaggerated near the poles. Is Greenland really as big as the United States?
Now at The True Size site you can click on a country, such as Greenland, and drag it to some other part of the earth, such as the United States. When you do that, the relative size changes and you get a true comparison. It sounds nerdy, but it’s fun to see how it works. Check it out.
