New Lawsuit Claims FTC Allows Used-Car Dealers to Falsely Advertise Cars as “Safe”

Find Law reports that a new Federal lawsuit alleges the FTC allowed used-car dealers to “market and advertise certified pre-owned vehicles as ‘safe,’ even when the same vehicles were subject to safety recalls due to dangerous defects.” According to the lawsuit filed by the Consumers for Auto Reliability and Safety, Center for Auto Safety, and US Public Interest Group asserts that there is no prohibition on selling used vehicles under recall, despite some recalls having serious safety implications.

About This Blog

The title of this blog reflects my attitude toward those government agencies and insurance companies that routinely mistreat injured or disabled people. As a Dallas, Texas lawyer, I've spent more than 45 years trying to help those poor folk, and I have been frustrated daily by the actions of the people on the other side of their claims. (Sorry if I offended you...)
