This article is from Road & Track magazine. I subscribed all through my teen and young adult years and drooled over the new cars from around the world. Now the magazine has chosen the 35 cars with the coolest names ever, even if some of these cars themselves weren’t so cool.
One is the Oldsmobile Cutlass. I never really thought about the name of that car, but I took driver’s ed in one almost exactly like the one in the photo. That was back when you could get your learner’s permit at age 14. Can you imagine your own 14-year-old driving now? Scary.
So I can’t say I thought that Oldsmobile had a cool name, but I definitely felt cool driving it around town.
