Investigation Shows Doctors Accused of Sexual Misconduct Often Go Unpunished

In a more-than-2,000-word article, the AP reports on an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct among doctors which found that “the world of medicine” is “often more forgiving” than Hollywood, journalism, or politics. The article says “most doctors accused of sexual misconduct avoid a medical license review entirely,” adding that “a study last year found that two-thirds of doctors who were sanctioned by their employers or paid a settlement as the result of sex misconduct claims never faced medical board discipline.” The article cites examples of several cases.

About This Blog

The title of this blog reflects my attitude toward those government agencies and insurance companies that routinely mistreat injured or disabled people. As a Dallas, Texas lawyer, I've spent more than 45 years trying to help those poor folk, and I have been frustrated daily by the actions of the people on the other side of their claims. (Sorry if I offended you...)
