
A growing number of people are filing injury lawsuits against electric scooter companies Bird and Lime, but user agreements may keep them from receiving damages. A class-action lawsuit was recently filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and seeks damages on behalf of nine plaintiffs, including pedestrians struck by scooters. According to the complaint, the scooters are not properly designed for urban landscapes and too easily get out of control. A number of other complaints have been filed against Bird and Lime seeking to hold the companies responsible for damages related to injuries.
