Auto Industry Ratcheting Up Security as Cars Carry More Electronic Equipment

The New York Times reports that because vehicles “now carry far more electronic equipment” and technology such as “autonomous driving relying on sensors, cameras and radar” is on the rise, “concern that cars could be seriously hacked…has prompted a new round of security efforts on the part of the auto industry.” According to a 2018 University of Michigan report, digital threats to self-driving cars include criminals, hackers, and thieves,” which is why “some companies that traditionally prefer to go it alone have teamed up to share best practices” in securing cars against such threats.”

About This Blog

The title of this blog reflects my attitude toward those government agencies and insurance companies that routinely mistreat injured or disabled people. As a Dallas, Texas lawyer, I've spent more than 45 years trying to help those poor folk, and I have been frustrated daily by the actions of the people on the other side of their claims. (Sorry if I offended you...)
