Mashable reports on Tesla’s latest Vehicle Safety Report, saying that “things are looking good for the electric car maker, especially its Autopilot set of self-driving features.” The accident rate for Tesla’s in the first quarter of the year “shows that there was one accident for every 2.87 million miles driven in which drivers had Autopilot engaged,” but “for drivers that had Tesla’s active safety features turned on, but not Autopilot, the company registered one accident for every 1.76 million miles driven.” For drivers who had “both Autopilot and active safety features off, Tesla registered one accident per every 1.26 million miles driven.”
