Employers Face Influx of Lawsuits by Parents Fired During Pandemic

Employers across the U.S. are facing an influx of lawsuits filed by parents who have been fired during the pandemic. In the last seven months, at least 40 lawsuits have been filed alleging parents have faced discrimination and been denied time off by employers. The majority of the lawsuits have been filed by women, who have been leaving the workforce at a higher rate than men during the pandemic.
