CPSC Seeks to Force Company to Repair Elevators To Prevent Child Injury

The Consumer Product Safety Commission is filing a lawsuit seeking to force the recall of home elevators that have caused a number of injuries to children. The lawsuit against ThyssenKrupp Access will seek to force the company to make repairs to elevators that will prevent child injuries or deaths. The CPSC considered filing a similar lawsuit back in 2019 following pleas from victims’ parents. On Wednesday, the CPSC voted 3-1 to file suit over the issue.
